Online Mindfulness Course

Why Do We Need Mindfulness?

Mindfulness Meditation: We live in a busy world. You plan your day while commuting to work. In the rush to complete your ‘to do’ list, you discover that you are losing your connection with everything else, missing out on what you’re doing and how you’re feeling.

You start to feel that everything is getting on top of you but you don’t know why.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of deliberately focusing your attention on the present moment, and accepting it without judgement. If you are feeling sad, happy, anxious or fearful, mindfulness helps you to accept these feelings without question. In doing so, mindfulness reduces your stress levels and gives you inner peace. It’s a simple but effective form of meditation.

Why Buy This Mindfulness Course?

Our mindfulness course is mobile, it travels with you. It is available on any portable device, laptop or PC. You can practice these exercises before a presentation, before an important meeting, whenever you need to. Do them when you are relaxing on your own.

Most mindfulness courses take place over one day. This is perhaps one of the least effective ways of learning mindfulness. Mindfulness is better taken as an eight week course with exercises you can practice regularly. Our online mindfulness course takes eight weeks to complete, so you can gain all the benefits of mindfulness and see for yourself how mindfulness can change your life.

Some mindfulness group courses cost over 250 euro per day.

An online mindfulness course helps you unwind and find more time.

But can an online course be as effective as a group course?

Research has proven that the method of delivery of Mindfulness is not as important as the practice of the exercises themselves. The following research study is available online and while it does not refer to our specific course, it is very relevant to us:

“Participants completed the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) before the course, after the course and at 1-month follow-up. Completion of formal (eg, body scan, mindful movement) and informal (eg, mindful meal, noticing) mindfulness activities was self-reported each week.

Participation in the online mindfulness course significantly reduced perceived stress upon completion and remained stable at follow-up. The pre-post effect size was equivalent to levels found in other class-based mindfulness programmes. Furthermore, people who had higher PSS scores before the course reported engaging in significantly more mindfulness practice, which was in turn associated with greater decreases in PSS.

Because perceived stress significantly decreased with such limited exposure to mindfulness, there are implications for the accessibility of mindfulness therapies online. (

Why should I not just use a free App to learn Mindfulness?

We do not recommend using free apps to learn Mindfulness. We tend to value that which we invest in more than that which we acquire for free. Not only that but no app can give you the full range of videos and audio exercises, workbook and diary that we offer you. No free app will help you daily on your journey into mindfulness. With Inspired Living’s mindfulness course a tutor is a click away.

How do I complete the online Mindfulness course?

The first step is to download the Mindfulness Workbook and Diary. These will show you exactly how to do the course. The course consists of mindfulness exercises you need to complete each day. During the mindfulness course, you will be asked to listen to audio files and watch the videos that contain your mindfulness exercises.

The instructional video opposite explains how to do the course.

After you listen to the mindfulness exercises, you will be asked to note your thoughts and feelings about the exercise in the diary which you will download once you purchase the course.

While this is a very easy step, it’s important for your progress, to do it every day.

Previous participants of mindfulness courses have said that after a few weeks of practice, although their time to “do things” is technically 30 minutes less, there can be a feeling of having more space and time, even in the middle of a very busy day. Have a look at what mindfulness involves in the video on this page.
